The Boys

Hello! Ion here. Happy to meet you! I am a fun lanky young man! And I love to be held and petted. I am not very vocal at all, but I really get into playing with my shelter-mates. But big crowds of people are not really my thing, I can get overwhelmed. Throw me in with a bunch of dogs and I can make friends with every one of them! I have not been in a household environment so I will need work on being house trained. Smart as I am, though, it won't take much. I'm just a big galoot with big paws and a happy long tail who loves to run and play and enjoy life.

I like to play, and I get along with other dogs. I would do fine in a house with another dog but probably no more than that as I get a bit overwhelmed if surrounded by a bunch of pups. I do fine in a crate and consider one my "home". I actually know the command "go home" means to head to my crate. Playing chase is a fun game for me and I will play tug of war too. I'll do fine around kids, but they should be older ones since that is what I know. I do not jump up at people, but I am definitely happy to see anyone. I'm not sure about cats but guessing I might be okay. I learn pretty quickly so if a cat has boundaries, I will catch on quickly. I'm a very kind and obedient boy. Sweet, gentle and happy. I'll need some reinforcement with house training to learn a routine in a new home, but I definitely know to go outside and will hold it in a kennel as long as I can. I will need a family with a high fenced yard. I love to be outside but can sometimes get too adventurous if left alone.

My name is Dingus. I'm an old man, house trained and plenty of years left to shower you with love! I pretty much stay to myself. I'm good around people and other dogs. Once we get to know each other, and you've spent some time petting me, I may purr - but it can sound like a growl so don't get alarmed. My favorite thing is to lay around and be loved and petted. My second favorite thing is to play hockey with my food and water dishes. And even though I'm a little older, I also love to play fetch! I drink a lot of water, maybe because I'm allergic to grass, so I would do great on sand and dirt.

Because of that, I'm very skittish and shy around any people. I do like to play with my shelter-mates, but will need an understanding, patient home to take me in and let me know that people are ok and you're here to help me. Do you have a kind, caring heart that will help me find a fur-ever home where I feel loved and safe?

I was an inside dog before I came to the shelter so I'm house trained. See, I was a stray that a nice older couple took in, but they could no longer care for me. I appreciate them trying! Hello everyone! It will be a pleasure to meet you! My name is Ditto and I'm a very good young man. I know how to sit, I know down, and I know how to wait for food. I do okay with recall, but I love other dogs, even puppies! I'm a little shy around new people (treats help!), but I am 80% house trained! Just a little time will be needed until I'm 100%! I was adopted from Easy's in October 2022, but their older fur-baby just didn't like me. I don't know why, because I get along great with all my shelter-mates! Hope to see you soon!

How-dY! I'm Dallas, nice to meet ya! I'm a beautiful long-coat Collie mix that does not like to be left out in a kennel. I would much rather be in a home with my NEW fur-ever family. My previous family moved and left me and my two cat sisters behind, locked up in the house, with no one to take care of us. I don't hold this against all humans - just come over to the Shelter and you'll see I'm still a very friendly, energetic young man. Hope to see ya soon! Yee-haw y'all!

Hello there! My name is Judah - nice to meet you! I am the biggest pup at the Shelter, but I'm also very well behaved. My owner had to move and couldn't take me and my two sisters with, so they surrendered us to the shelter. I don't use my size to take advantage of anything. I've worked with livestock in the past so I need daily exercise so I don't get into mischief at home. I mind well, know some tricks, good on a leash and I love to hike! I'll stay by your side on our adventures. I'm good with kids, crate and house trained, and would love to sleep in a very big bed with you. If you leave me home alone it's best to kennel me, and just so you know I can climb just about any fence. I don't like cats very much, and if you don't full-feed I may show some food aggression.

​Browser here! I'm a lost dog whose owners have not claimed me. I don't know why, because I'm a good boy! I'm good with kids, other dogs and I listen well. I can sit and stay. I do well on a leash, but I pull a little, so with the proper love and training I'll be very good. I am a bit of an escape artist - but again if you train me well on my boundaries and feed and love me I should be just fine. I'm a good outside and inside dog. I do like to chase those rascly chickens though!
